Lily Cain

Solicitor

Lily Cain graduated from the University of Canterbury in Christchurch, New Zealand with a Bachelor of Laws in 2017.

She was admitted as a barrister and solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand in 2018. She is now admitted in Australia as well.

Lily joined the Clancy & Triado team in May 2024 after gaining experience at both national and regional law firms based in Christchurch. She began specialising in family law in 2020, and since then has been involved in a broad variety of work, including financial matters pre and post separation, parenting matters, and family violence. She also has experience dealing with trust and estate matters.

Lily enjoys working collaboratively with her clients, and takes a pragmatic approach to resolving issues. She is compassionate with her clients, and provides sound guidance in times that can often be difficult or emotionally charged. She acknowledges that family law is never a one-size-fits-all situation, and tailors her approach to ensure the circumstances of each family are recognised and taken into account.

In her spare time, Lily enjoys going to the gym and the theatre, spending time with friends and family, and watching New Zealand excel on the international sporting stage.
